{"id":11121,"date":"2017-01-16T13:02:17","date_gmt":"2017-01-16T13:02:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rnbtheme.com\/documentation\/?p=11121"},"modified":"2020-09-16T13:01:51","modified_gmt":"2020-09-16T13:01:51","slug":"how-to-update-the-plugins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rnbtheme.com\/documentation\/knowledge-base\/how-to-update-the-plugins","title":{"rendered":"How to Update the Plugins?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is important to update the plugins and theme on the site, in order to receive new features and avoid incompatibility issue with outdated versions.<\/p>\n<p>To update plugins originally received with the theme (such as Visual Composer and Revolution Slider, etc.), please, first of all, make sure you\u2019re using the latest theme version.<\/p>\n<p>We include the current version of the plugins archives to the theme updates.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2256 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rnbtheme.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Begin-installing-plugin.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 978px) 100vw, 978px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rnbtheme.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Begin-installing-plugin.jpg 978w, http:\/\/rnbtheme.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Begin-installing-plugin-300x184.jpg 300w, http:\/\/rnbtheme.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Begin-installing-plugin-768x471.jpg 768w\" width=\"978\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to <del>Plugins<\/del> select the needed outdated plugins (that were provided with the theme) click on <strong>Deactivate<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>After that, click on <strong>Delete<\/strong> button and delete the deprecated plugins from your site.<\/li>\n<li>After removing, navigate to your <del>Plugins<\/del>\u00a0section, so on the top of the page, you\u2019ll see the message: <strong>This theme requires the following plugin: Revolution Slider, etc. Begin installing<\/strong> <strong>plugin<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Begin installing plugin<\/strong> button\u00a0and install the updated plugins on your site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note! In case you\u2019ve clicked on \u2018<strong>Dismiss this notice<\/strong>\u2019 button, the notice \u201cBegin installing plugin\u201d does not appear. In such a case, navigate to <del class=\"support-arrow-right\">Ronneby<\/del> <del>Install plugins<\/del> and install the updated plugins on your site.<\/p>\n<p>In case you haven\u2019t updated the theme but you have the latest version of the plugin you\u2019d like to update, firstly, follow the 1st and 2nd steps above.<\/p>\n<p>After that navigate to Plugins section, click <del class=\"support-arrow-right\">Add New<\/del> <del>Upload<\/del> and install the plugin from the zip archive.<\/p>\n<p>Best regards,<br \/>\nDFD Team<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is important to update the plugins and theme on the site, in order to receive new features and avoid incompatibility issue with outdated versions.
